I dread visits to the DMV. I suppose that is why I put off for so long going to get my California driver’s license and California tags. But I could put it off no longer since I needed insurance before it expired today. I waited over an hour in line on Thursday to take my test. (Scored 100%. Thank you very much.) Then again on Friday I waited about one and a half hours to get tags for both vehicles. Ugh! Hate it! If I had made an appointment as the hubby suggested weeks back I could have walked in and been finished in much less time. Oh well.
Now that I have that very important task out of the way I can get back to the computer and see what goodies I have for everyone today.

What’s cooking? The kids and I had a huge buffet lunch today at HomeTown Buffet so I think we’re just going to take it easy for supper. Maybe open a can of fruit or soup or something and that will be all.
Well, we’re back home in California. The kids and I did not make it to Oklahoma as planned. Darn it! What a week it has been.
My three children and I left here early Monday morning. I had been paying bills the night before leaving and, seeing the bill for it suddenly remembered I had insurance coming due on the vehicles. We had received a letter along with the bill telling me they were discontinuing the type of policy which we currently had been purchasing but that policies were being converted. I needed to give them a call. Yada, yada. I wondered about it a moment, but decided that surely it was something I could take care of with a phone call. :-\ Wrong!
We left home about 5:00 a.m. and I didn’t call the insurance company until about 10:00 so we were well into our journey. Because we have moved out of state they were not going to be able to convert our policy and I would need to find insurance from the state of California instead somewhere in the next few days. But before I could get the insurance I needed a California driver’s license and California tags on the vehicles. (My own stupidity for waiting on all that because I knew I needed them.)
We went on to Las Vegas to spend the night since I already had the hotel room paid, but then returned to San Diego the next day to take care of this mess. Now I’ve got to begin that long 3-day journey to Oklahoma all over again next week. Darn it!
OK. On to other things. I’ve got a couple of new, great deal for everyone from some of the plus size clothing companies who we promote here at Plus Size World.

What’s cooking? Pot roast with potatoes and carrots cooked with the roast. Just like Mom used to make. Rolled in aluminum foil. Roast topped with a can of mushroom soup and a package of dry onion soup mix. Yum!
